Serious Analog
at Tuffy's Barn

Creamtops Rock ! (Ask Anna)

Late at night, when recording engineers gather in smoky bars to swap war stories, you will learn that the MCI JH-16 Creamtops sound as good as any machine ever made-and maybe even a little better. Using modern high output tapes, they are capable of performance beyond anything their designers ever dreamed of. That's why for really special projects, the mega-studios roll their house machines aside and bring the JH-16s out of the vault!

Our machines have been tweaked by legendary MCI specialist Steve Sadler, who periodically visits to help the Barncats hone their skills at getting the most from their analog arsenal. In addition, Bob Yauger, CNY's dean of audio engineers, lends his invaluable expertise , not only on tape decks, but virtually every other aspect of recording technology. Tuffy's Barn records in both 2"-24tk, the world-wide professional standard, and 2"-16, for audiophile quality. Additionally, should you wish to revisit an older project, Tuffy's can also work in 1"-8tk and 1/2"-4tk formats.

Artists who recorded on MCI decks: Rush, Genesis, Phil Collins, Ramones, Allman Brothers, Roberta Flack
Bee Gees, K.C. and the Sunshine Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Michael Jackson(
Thriller)...
